Flixit is a tech company that helps franchisees set up and roll out social media campaigns. They make online connections between local franchise stores and consumers. Felix van der Gun founded the company in 2020 because he noticed that franchisees were a bit of a forgotten group from a marketing perspective. Whereas they are true local entrepreneurs who also want to brand themselves as such online. Flixit has developed software that allows them to automate a lot of processes for stores.

What problem were you trying to solve when you approached NOM?

We started growing substantially right after we were founded. At one point we couldn't really go any faster. Demand was so high that we were running up against the limits of our own growth. That's why we turned to the NOM for growth funding. We did the same with G-Force, the Groninger Growth Fund and Theo Hoeksema, an investor who, in addition to being a shareholder, is now a full-time commercial of Flixit.

How have our services impacted your business?

The investment has enabled us to take the desired next steps with Flixit. For example, part of the funding will be used to scale up. Another part will be used to further develop and optimize the software, including the smart integration of AI. To better streamline our activities in the various Dutch regions, we are also opening a sales office at Amsterdam's Zuidas business district.

Can you describe your experience working with NOM?

As very positive. The process went smoothly and relatively quickly. I especially appreciated NOM's genuine commitment. They not only provide money, but also want to understand our business and the market. Sometimes to such an extent that you think: are the questions finally ready now? It does mean that you can spar with each other about the content.

Would you recommend our services to others and if so, what would you say?

100%. First of all because it just feels good to have a northern party standing next to you as a northern company. Moreover, NOM constantly thinks along with you and dares to take risks. In other words, it is not an organization that makes choices based solely on spreadsheets.
