Privacy policy

This Privacy Statement applies to the processing of personal data of visitors to the standard or mobile website of NV NOM. NOM believes in protecting your privacy and will handle the personal data you provide to us with care. NOM adheres to the applicable privacy rules and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation. If you have any questions, please contact privacy@nom.nl.

This Privacy Statement does not apply to any standard or mobile third-party websites accessible from links on a standard or mobile NOM website.

Reasons for and purpose of data processing

When you visit the site, participate in an online survey or send or receive emails, you leave your data behind. These data shall only be used to process your request or response. The data in question shall not be collected or used in a way that is traceable back to you. Information on visits to the NOM website shall only be used in our provision of services to you and to support technical decisions and statistical processing. In addition, NOM shall also process data where required by law.

Which personal data?

When you use a standard or mobile NOM website and/or receive an online mailing from NOM, we shall process the following personal data, where applicable:

  • Given name and surname of contact
  • Address details
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail address
  • Data on your activities on the website in question
  • Data on your browsing behaviour
  • IP address of your Internet browser and device type

Cookies

A cookie is a unit of data that a server sends to a browser for storage, so the browser can send the cookie back to the server during a future visit. This way, the server can recognise the browser and remember what the user or browser did in the past. When visiting this site, cookies may be placed on your system. The NOM website itself does not use cookies. However, it does use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to track browsing and searching behaviour on our website. If you accept the cookies, they may remain on your computer for five years, unless you delete them. Disabling cookies only affects the computer and browser where you make this setting. What are your rights?

You have the right to view all of your personal data collected by NOM and you may submit a request for this to NOM. You also have the right to ask NOM to correct your data that it has collected if it appears that the data in NOM’s possession are incorrect or incomplete. In addition, you have the right to decline future contacts from NOM that provide information on NOM. If NOM is processing your personal data based on permission that you granted, you have the right to withdraw this permission at any time. For all of these matters, you may contact privacy@nom.nl.

Complaint?

If you have any complaints regarding the processing of your personal data by NOM, you have the right to submit your complaint to the Personal Data Authority.

Retention period

NOM shall not store your personal data for any longer than is strictly necessary for the purposes for which NOM collected your personal data. Your personal data shall not be stored for more than two years, unless NOM is required to store them for longer according to the law or regulations.

Disclosure of personal data to third parties

NOM shall only disclose your personal data to third parties if necessary to perform the agreement you concluded with NOM or to meet requirements under the law. NOM has concluded processing agreements with parties that process personal data under assignment from NOM, and has bound these processors to a level of personal data protection and confidentiality that is at least equal to that applied by NOM itself.

Security

NOM has taken suitable organisational and technical measures to combat the misuse, loss, unauthorised access and editing and undesired disclosure of your personal data. In the event of misuse or inadequate protection despite the above measures, you may contact privacy@nom.nl.
