What do we offer?
We offer two specialized programs, one-on-one coaching from top entrepreneurs in the region and we also have the means to fund startups. By combining the various options, we offer a tailor-made program which offers everything your startup needs.
Specialized Development Programs
The two specialized programs are the Market Readiness Program and Investor Readiness Program. Both programs are offered in English.
- The Market Readiness Program focusses on market development: what is the problem that you wish to solve and how can you prepare for market penetration? This program is suitable for startups who are about to enter the market and need help to reach their first customer, as well as startups who have been active for a few years, but want to scale up. You will follow masterclasses together with other entrepreneurs, learning from the experts as well as from your peers. Costs are €250 and classes will take place weekly, alternating between an online class and a live class in Groningen. Read all about the Market Readiness Program (MRP) here.
- The Investor Readiness Program is suitable for startups that already have a (close to) market ready product or service and defined target group, but need help with financing. In a program of 10 weeks of one-on-one coaching you will work on an investment proposal and meet various investors. The costs of this program are €250 for 32 hours of coaching. Startups can join our MRP or IRP program if their company/business idea is sustainable/circular, innovative, and scalable. Moreover, your startup needs to be registered in the Northern Netherlands and be active in the sectors IT/AI, HTSM, Agri Food, Water tech, LSH, Energy or Chemistry.
One-on-one coaching by experienced business coaches
In addition to the program, we also put you in touch with successful entrepreneurs. In a one-on-one coaching relationship, these entrepreneurs can help you get started. They know all the ins and outs of doing business in the region and are happy to share their experience. The business coaches mentor each startup for about 3 hours per month. The cost is €100 per hour and should be paid directly to the coach.

Introduction to investors
After completing the Investor Readiness Program, we can introduce you to various funding opportunities. We are in close contact with Funds that specialize in digital startups, we can introduce you to angel investors or decide to invest in your startup with our own funds. If investing is still a step too far, we can also help you find a suitable loan. Disclaimer: funding is not a guarantee; we cannot promise in advance that your startup will be funded, as it depends on the performance and development of the startup.
Getting to know our network
One of NOM's greatest assets is our extensive network. We can help you by introducing you to potential partners, suppliers, customers and investors. We will make sure you get a seat at the right table and guide you through to a successful transaction. In addition, we can invite you to relevant internal and external networking events and industry trade shows.
Support with practical matters and workspace
NOM offers support with practical matters, such as applying for the Startup Visa, finding a location/workplace and registration with the Chamber of Commerce. NOM does not offer a physical workplace at its office, but looks for a suitable workplace depending on the needs of startups. We have made arrangements with several business coaches and other external organizations that do offer workplaces. The cost of these workplaces is payable directly to the landlord.
