Building in the background to a joint success, that's what I love. Until I was 16, literally through my position as goalkeeper in the soccer teams of SC Neede and VV Harlingen. And when those sporting years were over, I picked up the bass guitar (and a bit of guitar). Standing on a stage together with my best friends and writing my own compositions and lyrics, there is no better thing in my eyes. First coming up with the basic composition: verse, chorus, bridge. Then tinker little by little and add new ideas and layers. Then the lyrics and fine-tuning the right words. Finally, the most important thing: leaving out what doesn't serve the song. Always searching outside the established boundaries and frameworks. And then the singer may be the face of the band, the guitarists may give a solo of brilliance and the drummer may be the brightest.
