Hello, my name is Auke Piet van der Meulen and I have been working for NOM as business developer Circular Economy since 2024. As a born Frisian (Kollum) from an entrepreneurial family I like to work on strengthening and making the economy of the North more sustainable. From my work experiences I have already seen that in the Northern Netherlands the large companies are already fully engaged in circularity, but also that it is becoming increasingly important for smaller SMEs. But we are far from there yet.
Circularity is one of the challenges we cannot avoid. We will have to be more economical with our raw materials and the planet. And we can! Only then we have to make some changes. And from NOM we would like to help you take your ideas further. With our network of companies and knowledge institutions, by looking for the right subsidies. Together we can do more than alone. And I consider it a privilege to help you with that from NOM.
I enjoy living in Groningen and Leeuwarden. I have 4 wonderful and sweet children and a girlfriend with 2 kids as well. I still play soccer in competition and I love running. Now and then I can also appreciate a pop concert. As an unhealthy activity, I like to be on my motorcycle and I really like traveling and vacations.
So, I would love to have a cup of coffee with you to talk about, for example, circularity and sustainability. But also about muddling through in the midfield, beautiful adventurous motorcycle routes or winding down at a marathon. See you soon!
