Once started studying English, then switched to Dutch and eventually ended up in marketing communications. That's a background that, while a good fit for a communications consultant, might not immediately scream "green chemistry.
Not bad at all, because I have a curious nature and a heart for sustainability. Moreover, I love to learn, read and discover new things. So it's great that I can combine all this as Chemport communications consultant.
But of course, it ís also enormously interesting to learn more about the increasingly green chemical sector in the Northern Netherlands (because: how can you recycle plastic that is among the other organic waste? And: does that 100% biodegradable, plant-based plastic actually exist?). And at least as much fun is to spread this story widely. So that the right people have the right information to take another step closer to the sustainable goal.
Moreover, as a native of Groningen, I feel right at home here at NOM. I was born and raised in the city, and I still enjoy living in the shadow of D'Olle Grieze. But now with my husband, daughter and cat, with whom I love to spend my free time. Besides that I have more hobbies (whims?) than time and I love to be in the theater.
