The DJ Company is an online platform where you can very easily book a DJ and manage your party. On the platform you can indicate your wishes, any special features and the party location. Then, based on that, a link is made to the best suited DJ. Yme Sake Boonstra founded the company together with Tette Boekema, a childhood friend whom he met at the Stedelijk Gymnasium in Leeuwarden.
What question did you come to GroBusiness with?
With some 3,000 bookings a year, we are already the market leader in the Netherlands. We felt the time was right to roll out the concept elsewhere in Europe as well. But international business is not easy, of course. There is quite a bit involved. Different legislation, different cultures, customs, subsidy possibilities, you name it. That is why we asked Wessel de Vries, theme specialist International Entrepreneurship at GroBusiness and YnBusiness, to help us enter the international market well-prepared.
