ToPerform has developed a sensor that can detect and predict fouling in industrial pipes. With this, the company helps organizations, particularly in the food and (petro)chemical industries, to better time their cleaning moments. In this way, they can reduce product loss, energy consumption and downtime. ToPerform was founded in 2020, after years of the founder's experience in the industry.
What question did you come to Ik Ben Drents Ondernemer (IBDO) with?
Interest came from America. A customer wanted to test there and that seemed interesting. But I also thought: American legislation is different from Dutch legislation. Which liability risks do you run? And how do you arrange all that? That is why I approached Han Smidt, theme specialist in international business at IBDO, for advice on how to go about it.
What has their service brought you?
Above all, confidence and clarity. Han helped me see where the risks are and how to manage them. He gave me contacts and pointed the way. That gave direction. Otherwise you don't know where to start. It gave me the confidence to follow through. Now we are really heading towards America, whereas initially I was reluctant to do so.
