The Supervisory Board of NOM announces that Netty Wakker has been appointed as new director of the company. She will take up her post on June 1, succeeding Dina Boonstra, who will leave NOM to retire after almost 7 years.
With the arrival of Netty Wakker, NOM has chosen a director with a strong connection to the North. Netty Wakker is currently working as director-director at Kennispoort Regio Zwolle.
Rooted in the region
For the new director the move to NOM feels like a warm welcome to the region where her roots lie. Born and raised in Klazienaveen, she knows the mentality and dynamics of the North like no other. This involvement in the area is also a common thread in her personal life.
"The North has a rich past and enormous potential for the future. I feel deeply rooted here. Together with my husband Erik I live in Lutten, where we have a dairy farm. It is a great honor for me to take over from Dina Boonstra and contribute to the further development of this wonderful organization," said Netty Wakker.

The Supervisory Board sees in Netty Wakker the right person to continue and expand the course of the organization. As director of Kennispoort Regio Zwolle, she is well acquainted with the issues entrepreneurs face and for which NOM offers support.
