The career portal shows what opportunities are available for job seekers who want to contribute to the growth and sustainability of our region.
Why this initiative?
Finding good staff is a big challenge for many companies. At the same time, there are many talents in our region who consciously choose meaningful work. With Growth Starts Here, we bring the two together.
The portal is a joint initiative of NOM, MKB Fonds Drenthe, the Frisian Development Agency (FOM) and the Groningen Growth Fund. Our aim is to retain and attract talent and increase the visibility of our participations.
Who participate?
Only companies in which NOM and the regional funds mentioned above currently have a financial interest are visible on the portal. This means that job seekers will only find job vacancies here with a carefully selected group of employers. Companies that are not only economically strong, but also contribute to innovation, sustainability and the future of the Northern Netherlands.
Why is that important?
By displaying job vacancies in one central location, it becomes easier for job seekers to find opportunities with employers that really add something to the Northern Netherlands. And that is not only good for the people who work there, but also for the activity, innovation and livability of our provinces.

At the moment you will find about 40 job vacancies on Growth Begins Here, ranging from technical positions and production work to commercial and managerial positions. For example:
