After a funding round, startups celebrate and pop the champagne, rightfully so!
After the dust settles, a huge challenge lies ahead. How to convert this first, or follow-up round into the results that you as well as your investor aspire?
With funding, options increase, but also the amount of complexity and (wrong) choices. Statistics show that funded startups are less disciplined with their time and investments and focus on the wrong things. They lose focus.

The Scale Up Program
This program is for the future frontrunners of the Northern Netherlands: startups that are ready to grow quickly after their investment round.
The program spans 6 months and has 3 core elements:
- Masterclasses, in a group with similar startups, on location.
- One-on-one working sessions with senior domain experts.
- A venture partner: your one-on-one coach who will help you through the process.
Master classes
- Kickoff: During the kickoff you introduce yourself to the other participants and get to know each other better, both personally and professionally. We then introduce the StartupFramework. Why do so many startups fail and how do you make sure you beat those statistics? You immediately receive the frameworks needed to start the program with the right focus.
- Product Market Fit: A frequently mentioned term, but how do you measure product market fit and how do you sharpen it? We let go of gut feelings and look at three specific metrics to measure where you stand. You receive concrete tools to adjust your course and seamlessly align your product with market demand.
- Growing Team: A scalable company stands or falls with its team. Using team scans and scientific models we analyse your composition. Where do you complement each other and where are skills still missing? We look at how you optimise collaboration and when it is time for the next strategic hire.
- Scaling Up & Cash is King: Now that the market and team are clear, we focus on execution. We introduce accountability: who is responsible for which result and how do you ensure goals are actually achieved? We also take a critical look at cash flow, so that your capital always supports rather than hinders growth.
- Growth Engine: Which growth strategy fits your business model? We dissect the different growth engines and determine which approach generates the most traction for you. You learn how to effectively deploy and scale this engine to generate a constant stream of new customers or users.
- Graduation & Roadmap: After an intensive six months we take stock during a joint closing event with drinks and dinner. We celebrate the results achieved, but above all look ahead. With which concrete goals do you enter the next phase of your company?
Entry Requirements
We are an accelerator program. That means we don’t only want to inform you about ‘doing the right things’. We want to partner up with you to achieve real results in 6 months.
Therefore, we expect from every participant:
- Attendance on all dates from at least one, preferably 2 MT-members.
- A commitment fee of €2,500,- (Program value >10K).
- Sufficient time outside of your daily operation for one-on-one support and implementation of strategic changes (2 days per month).
