With my name, I can hardly deny that I am a northerner
After studies in Leeuwarden and Groningen, I lived and worked in the central and western Netherlands for more than 10 years. In 2000 I returned to the Northern Netherlands. In recent years I have mainly been active as an investment manager and corporate finance advisor. Interesting and varied positions. Since the summer of 2016, I have been active as an investment manager at GROEIfonds, the investment fund for North Groningen, a region that is distinguishing itself especially in the field of sustainability. To be able to play a role in that makes my work even more special.
Besides this challenging job, my main interest lies in sports, both passive and active. Active is mainly playing volleyball myself in a nice team. But in addition, I regularly visit soccer and volleyball games of my children and northern top sports teams, especially soccer, basketball and ice hockey, a wonderful relaxation.
