If NOM becomes a shareholder, will I keep control of my own company?

A NOM colleague at work

When we become shareholders, it is always a minority share. We are therefore co-owners and can discuss the company's mission and strategy and vote on decisions in a shareholders' meeting. So don't panic: we are not taking over the company. Management will always remain in the hands of the directors. The nuance is that we do exert influence on the management, by making agreements with each other and participating in discussions about new choices to be made. If an additional financial injection is needed, we often couple that with additional influence. Although the management always remains in charge, we do participate indirectly if necessary.

We also wrote a white paper on this. You can find it here.
