The Fascinating Healthy Eating from the Environment covenant is a joint agreement by the Province of Groningen, the Municipality of Groningen and over 30 chain partners to work together to build a regional food chain that is fair, healthy and future-proof. The partners are using their purchasing power to increase demand for regional and healthy products and agree to set a good example within their own organizations and toward visitors, clients and employees. In addition, they are working together to solve bottlenecks such as logistics and availability, so that short chains in Groningen (with connections to Drenthe and Friesland) can grow concretely, with a healthy earnings model for everyone in the chain.
