CIV Water (Centrum voor Innovatief Vakmanschap Water) is a knowledge and education center in Leeuwarden that trains MBO students and professionals for the water sector. The organization connects education and business to create practice-oriented development paths, training courses and innovative educational programs.
The goal of CIV Water is to train "agile professionals": professionals with the right knowledge, skills and mindset to move with current challenges such as drought, water shortages, salinization and sustainable water technology. In doing so, CIV Water works together with educational institutions, companies, water boards and knowledge organizations within the water sector.
CIV Water is located at the Water Campus Leeuwarden and acts as a link between education, innovation and practice. Among other things, the organization develops MBO courses, customized training for companies and international collaborations around water technology and water management.
