Chemport is the name of the innovative ecosystem for chemistry and materials in the Northern Netherlands. Within this ecosystem, companies, governments and knowledge institutions work together on a shared ambition: to change the nature of chemistry.
Ambition
Chemport aims to become the first chemical cluster in the Netherlands - and possibly in Europe - with zero carbon emissions and minimal environmental impact. By 2050 at the latest, the entire Chemport Europe industry cluster will use only renewable energy and raw materials.

Chemport Europe offers an excellent location for an integrated approach to biorefinery, green chemistry and green energy. It is the ideal environment for both large-scale plants, test facilities and research centers. The region is distinguished by:
