Echo Acoustic makes circular acoustic ceilings from recycled textiles that dampen reverberation and bring tranquility to any space. Poor acoustics make people tired, cause stress and disrupt people-to-people contact. Echo Acoustics offers an alternative that brings together comfort, sustainability and design freedom. The systems are designed, tested and patented entirely in-house. They are a well thought-out total solution for a variety of spaces, from villas to offices. With more than 20,000 m² delivered and 60,000 kilos of textiles reused, the company shows that silence is not a luxury, but a prerequisite for well-being.

Where were you and your company when you started the ATB program?

When I started the ATB program, we were at a tipping point. We had proven that our product was technically and aesthetically strong, but we were looking for ways to grow faster and reach new markets.

Kevin Bond, founder Echo Acoustic

What was your main reason for applying?

I signed up specifically to learn to think more strategically and about scaling up and positioning.

Kevin Bond, founder Echo Acoustic

What specifically did you learn during the program?

During the program, I learned how we can sharpen our brand story and better leverage our distinctiveness in the marketplace. I also received practical tools to structure our sales and marketing approach.

Have you been able to apply what you learned in the meantime? How did it go?

Yes, we apply this knowledge in our discussions with architects and contractors. It comes in fits and starts, as the approach requires a lot of focus. As an entrepreneur, you're used to grabbing every opportunity that comes along and in that you sometimes have to slow yourself down.

Is there anything you would do differently now thanks to the ATB program?

Thanks to the program, I have started to look more critically at which projects and clients really suit us. This not only saves time, but also ensures better results and more fun at work.

Kevin Bond, founder Echo Acoustic

What tip would you give other founders?

Certainly, I have one most important tip for every founder. Dare to focus, even if that means saying "no" to assignments.

Kevin Bond, founder Echo Acoustic

Would you recommend the ATB program, and if so, why?

I would definitely recommend the ATB program. It is intensive, but it forces you to take a sharp look at your proposition and strategy. You get guidance from people who really understand what it is like to be in business. I do advise you to arrange a safety net afterwards, for example in the form of a sparring partner. After the program you will start working with a lot of information, but without aftercare you can be stuck with questions during the implementation of your focus goals.
