Project Manager Internationalization
Ciao! My name is Tijmen and since May 2021 I have been working at NOM. My first real job, because since March 2021 I graduated from the study Business Administration MER (Management, Economics and Law) at the Hanzehogeschool in Groningen. I am also studying Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam in the area of Tax Law. I chose to study this subject because I find it interesting. After all, business decisions are partly determined by tax regulations. These two studies come in handy in my position as project officer.
I was born and raised in Ruinerwold, a small village if you compare this to metropolis Sydney (Australia). I lived here for six months and did my internship at a Business-to-Business marketing agency. Australia is definitely the most beautiful country I have been to so far! But now I am back on my old nest.
While doing research on the needs of SMEs, I came across the field of development companies and how they can contribute to the economy and innovation in the Northern Netherlands. This is how I eventually ended up at NOM. Within the FSN department I take care of supporting companies and funds by preparing legal documentation, processing and analyzing financial data and reporting to stakeholders. In this position as project officer I am assigned to the third(er) funds "GROEIfonds" and "MKB Fonds Drenthe".
In my free time, I like to be on a road bike, go to the gym and cook the most delicious Italian recipes (lasagna is my specialty).
