Strengthening and greening the chemical industry in the North, promoting sustainability and employment. That, in a nutshell, is what the Chemport Europe ecosystem stands for. It is a collaboration between companies, knowledge institutions and governments, and NOM is also part of it.
Since October 2020, I have been a communications consultant for Chemport. And that fits me like a glove. Trained as a chemical engineer in Delft, my career soon took a turn toward marketing and communications. Companies like Procter&Gamble and Douwe Egberts brought my marketing knowledge to a higher level. But the passion for engineering has remained, especially when it comes to sustainability. That's why I'm glad that I can dedicate myself to putting Chemport and the initiatives in this ecosystem well on the map.
In my free time I can usually be found in or on the water. I live with my family in Friesland, where it is great sailing, supping, surfing and swimming. Furthermore, I dedicate myself to our village garden to provide the village with organic vegetables, and I am involved in the initiative to connect our village to a heat network using aquathermy from the Heegermeer lake in the future.
