From the many entries and nominations received through May 14, the jury has nominated the following ten companies for the 2022 Groningen Enterprise Award.
They are (in alphabetical order):
"We may well conclude that we have a strong field of participants, with representatives from the full breadth of the economy," said jury chairman and deputy IJzebrand Rijzebol. "We clearly see the rise of e-commerce, with a number of highly specialized online stores. We also see companies making their specific contributions to energy transition, climate change and security. The agricultural and industrial sectors are represented, as well as hospitality and business services. All in all, a nice cross-section of city and countryside, which I'm afraid will give us as a jury the necessary headaches. In any case, we look forward with great interest to the pitch presentations at the end of September."
The Groninger Ondernemingsprijs is not just pulled out of a hat. All nominated companies are first interviewed by specialists from De Haan Attorneys at Law & Notaries, BDO Accountants & Advisors and Rabobank Groningen & Drenthe. Based in part on their findings, the jury will draw up a provisional Top 10. The ranking can still be influenced by the pitch presentations that all nominees may give during the Nomination Meeting. This will take place on Thursday, September 22 at one of the Noorderpoort locations. At the end of that meeting, the jury will announce the three finalists. They will receive a visit from the jury this summer. Partly on the basis of the jury visit, the winner of the Groninger Ondernemingsprijs 2022 will be chosen. The prize will be officially presented by the Queen's Commissioner René Paas. This will happen during the festive final evening in MartiniPlaza Groningen, on Thursday evening, December 1.
The goal of the Stichting Groninger Ondernemingsprijs is to stimulate the Groninger economy, by making excellent and inspiring companies visible and offering a relevant network. The jury consists of: jury chairman IJzebrand Rijzebol (deputy for Economic Affairs, Province of Groningen), Dina Boonstra (NOM), Suzanne Snijder (Commercial Club Groningen), Paul Schreuders (XPAR Vision), Cas König (Groningen Seaports), Jan Hoekstra (Witec, winner 2019) and Albert Keizer (Next Generation Shipyards, winner 2021).
NOM is proud that Kampen Industrial Care (NOM participation) and Klippa (former NOM participation) have been nominated and wishes both companies good luck with the preparations for the pitch presentation.
'Kampen Industrial Care is an innovative industrial service provider with a focus on mechanical engineering. Driven by a passion for technology, they are the partner for projects and maintenance where the mix between flexibility and professionalism is optimally used to unburden their relationship.'
