Food value: added value from soil to mouth

A third of the food we produce each year does not end up on consumers' plates. That's a waste! Of the food, but also of raw materials, energy, land, water, labor, time and money put into it.

That the Netherlands is among the world's top producers of healthy and safe food brings with it the responsibility to do something about it. Innovative ideas are necessary in this regard.

Within Food Value, the regional development companies are joining forces to realize business cases that contribute to a higher-value use of (green) raw materials and reducing waste in the chain.
