AFAS Young Business Award takes substantial step into the future

A major player in the tech scene, with the Young Business Award (YBA) presentation as its showcase. The Young Business Award is growing in that direction after two lustra. This can already be seen in the new name: AFAS Young Business Award. Increasing impact and importance in the world of startups and scaleups. That's what it's all about. Applications are open again.

In the fall, the march to the award ceremony takes place again, captured as last year in a weekly TV series on RTL-Z and Videoland. That's the highlight. The winner of the scale-up competition will immediately enter talks with major investors. Companies aged zero to eight years old can sign up as participants of the 'AFAS Young Business Award 2023' from now on.

,,We are well on our way to make the Young Business Award much bigger and more grand,'' says Niels Palmers (founder & CEO of the Young Business Award). That mission is given extra shape by the partnership with AFAS. Palmers is pleased with the cooperation. ,, The mission of AFAS "Inspires better business" fits nicely with the mission of YBA. The Award helps create attention for startups and scaleups; the stories we are increasingly telling from that world do just that.''

The YBA is slowly but surely changing from a competition into a content company. In cooperation with 'The Entrepreneur', from this year on, news is continuously brought from, for and about the participants of the 'AFAS Young Business Award'. ,,I miss those stories. There is much more to tell and that is going to help the participating scale-ups move forward. We want to help drive innovation by generating more attention.''

That mission takes additional shape through the partnership with AFAS. Niels Palmers is pleased with the cooperation. ,,The mission of AFAS fits well with ours, namely to inspire entrepreneurs. The Award helps create attention for startups and scale-ups, the stories we are increasingly telling from that world do just that.'' For the Leusden-based software company, the connection with Young Business Award is obvious for the same reason. AFAS' software helps startup entrepreneurs work more fun, easier, more profitable and more efficiently.

The Young Business Award - like the candidates highlighted - is fully committed to growth. Palmers is going for at least a doubling of the organization in the next two years. ,,The future? If you want to know anything from the world of startups and scaleups in the tech world, you have to be with us. We give entrepreneurs a stage and inform and inspire them together with AFAS. In collaboration with The Entrepreneur and RTL, we tell these stories through online media, events, radio and TV. This concept is scalable, so we can continuously increase the impact.''
