We provide equity funding for transitions within mature and innovative SMEs, taking minority stakes.

For whom.

  • Innovative companies in the Northern Netherlands that contribute to the regional economy.

  • Companies with no existing financial relationship with NOM.

  • Companies at a later growth stage facing transition.

  • Portfolio companies that meet the same investment criteria.

Preconditions

We invest in companies with:

  • An experienced and entrepreneurial management team.
  • A profitable history and a healthy future outlook.
  • Realistic growth plans (3-5 years) with a clear exit perspective.

What we offer

  • Maintaining the independence of the company

  • Reliable investor.

  • Investments focused on continuity.

  • Minority shareholder.

  • Investments up to a maximum of €4 million.

  • Exit strategy within 5-7 years.

Investment criteria(mature and innovative SMEs).

  • EBITDA sweetspot: €500K - €2.5M.
  • Always equity, possibly supplemented by loans or cumulative preferred stock.
  • Importance between 25% and 49%.
  • Focus on NOM's core sectors.
  • Active involvement in decision-making.
  • No investments in non-ethical sectors or businesses.
  • Active in markets with intrinsic growth potential and a clear, executable innovation strategy.
