Innovation Challenge: From Culling to Supply Chain
There are many geese in Fryslân. Their presence is a familiar part of the landscape, but it also causes increasing damage to farmland. Targeted population management is needed to limit that damage. When managing a population that involves culling animals, the guiding principle is always to ensure that the animals are put to good use as much as possible. This principle is widely shared, including among hunters. Finding a valuable use for all culled geese remains a challenge. Existing marketing opportunities are limited, often local and/or small-scale, and not of a structural nature.
This challenge has been solved. How, and by whom? That will be presented during this Match Event.
