More diversity in the Northern Netherlands startup world

In our quest for greater diversity, we still have a long way to go. Despite numerous studies showing that mixed teams perform better. Nor are we there yet in the world of startups and financiers. For example, over the past twelve years, some ninety percent of the growth money spent in the Netherlands went to startups with only men at the helm. Fundright (initiated by Techleap) wants to improve that situation; the NOM, Founded in Groningen and Founded in Friesland support it.

That's why we are picking up this theme during the online #Fundright event on Nov. 17. We warmly invite you to think along with us about this. We deliberately write 'think along' because we do not have the answers to all diversity issues. Our approach is mainly focused on awareness, talking to each other and thinking about prejudices (yes, we all have them). And that with various parties: entrepreneurs, fund managers, support partners and stakeholders from the northern ecosystem.
