The chemical industry in Delfzijl is motoring again after a few difficult years. A number of companies in the Chemiepark are even considering expanding their production.

According to sources, they are studying the construction of a fourth salt factory, which will be at the site of the former soda factory of BrunnerMond. They are also looking to expand the production of monochloretic acid and chlorine.
